total knee replacement recoveryWhy are we doing a survey? Consider the following quote from The American Physical Therapy Association Monograph entitled, Joint Arthroplasty: Advances in Surgical management and Rehabilitation which was written in 2010.

The outcomes of excellent ROM (range of motion) and the ability to ambulate and self-progress with home exercises are universal; the most efficient and cost effective way to achieve these goals remains elusive.

This is a stunning admission. Despite the total knee replacement having been around for approximately 20 years, we still don’t know how to do this very well.  Success in other words in somewhat hit or miss.  I think we should have some better answers and fortunately we do but we would like to hear from you first and foremost about you rehab anxieties and your rehab experiences. The survey will help us to quantify the rehab process somewhat across the country so your input is vital. To access the survey click on the category that best describes your situation.

Michelle Stiles called "the no nonsense" therapist, by her patients, created a company called Cowboy Up Recovery after recognizing the bankruptcy of the present medical model. Too many people regard conventional medical wisdom as gospel, ignoring the subversive influences of Big Pharma and Big Medicine. She believes, Americans in general are being trained from an early age to defer to experts in numerous areas of life and losing the impulses for self-responsibility and self-reliance in the process. Over-diagnosis and over-medicating has become endemic. While thankful for the best miracles of modern medicine, she encourages people of all persuasions to listen to their bodies and seek out answers to maintain not just an absence of disease but optimal health. Her advice is: Cowboy Up, no one cares more about your health than you do.
